The Flags Series was a body of work produced in 2011 for two solo exhibitions, Flag and Flags. As a series, these works meditate on ideas of nationhood, allegiance, citizenship, symbolism and memorial.
Its centrepiece, As of today, is an ongoing body of work in which a new carved folded flag is produced for each fatality of an Australian soldier during Operation Slipper in Afghanistan.
